Dennis Eagle commercial vehicles are being manufactured in the United Kingdom by Dennis Eagle Ltd. Dennis Eagle Ltd is one of the Europe's largest specialist vehicle manufacturers building dedicated refuse truck chassis and bodies for Europe and other markets around the world. Mr. Paul Glavac, Managing Director of WSTA stated "We have literally searched that the globe for the very best product that could meet the difficult and demanding operational needs of an Australian refuse collection vehicle and it is with great pleasure that we introduce the Dennis Eagle product line which we believe will be quickly recognized as the best purpose built refuse collection vehicle available in Australia"
Dennis Eagle commercial vehicles will be distributed through out the existing Western Star/MAN dealer network - one of the largest and the most comprehensive heavy duty truck selling and servicing networks in the country.
"This exciting new product line is based upon the Dennis Eagle Elite 2 product line but has been adapted and further developed to ensure that it meets the demands of the Australian marketplace. The vehicle will be locally fitted with a Cummins ISL Euro V engine and an Allison 3000 series transmission. It will be available in a variety of power ratings and configurations including 4x2, 6x4 and 8x4 configurations and as a dual control option these has been developed to meet the unique demands of the residential side loader market." The Elite 2 is designed from the ground up to meet the special needs of the refuse industry with a true low cab entry with step arrangement that significantly reduces the effort that are associated with entering and exiting the cab - a feature that can truly make a quantifiable difference in operator efficiency, comfort and safety. In addition the spacious cab is equipped with large glass areas and tailored mirrors for superior all around visibility and plenty of room for crew and all of their gear. While the key selling feature is the unique characteristics of the Elite 2 cab its chassis is designed for severe service and equipped with some of the best components to ensure the lowest cost of operation - Cummins ISL engine with SCR technology, Allison 3000 series transmissions, Hendrickson air suspension on the rear axles, Dana front and rear axles with the Knorr-Bremse disc brakes all around and ABS as standard fitment.
